Motherhood and a need for convenient sunscreen options set the stage for us to create Shady Day. Friends for many years and now home with our small children we began thinking about ideal sunscreen options for our little ones. In 2004 we began working on manufacturing a sunscreen wipe. We were in search of a convenient, mess-free, clean feeling and non-greasy wipe. Also, big fans of the sunscreen stick we created one that we felt included all of the best ingredients. With Jennifer’s husband’s advice (he is a dermatologist) we also wanted our products to have a high SPF.

Two years and much research later we launched our company and products in April 2006. With two goals in mind: educate parents and caregivers on the importance of daily sun protection and provide them with high quality, convenient ways of applying the sunscreen.
